before they bought food because it kept their souls together."

Director

"Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD all the earth!" Psalm 96:1

"...whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Phillipians 4:8

"The man that hath no music in himself,
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for treasons, stratagems and spoils; The motions of his spirit are dull as night
And his affections dark as Erebus:
Let no such man be trusted.
Mark the music."
(The Merchant of Venice, 5.1.91-7)

Jr./Sr. High BAND SECTION

Prepare to be tested (spot-checks) on the tough, technical passgaes of each piece!!!

Basically any area you can't easily sight read - we have discussed these in rehearsals.

You may test in groups of 2 or 3 but will still be individaully graded. Failure to practice these sections can result in lowering your grade!
