Dear Families,
"Listen
to wisdom...search for it as you would for silver...hunt for it
like hidden treasure...and then you will begin to know God." Proverbs
2:2a,4,5a
My
name is Julie Southwick and I have taught Elementary computers here at
Scottsdale Christian Academy for five years. I have a uniqe position because I get the opportunity to touch the lives of ALL kindergarten through sixth grade SCA students. Technology is growing and changing all the time, so it is fun to watch the students grow and change too.
I
was born and raised in Peoria, Arizona. My first two years of college
were spent at Glendale Community College where I studied and played
volleyball. My volleyball team made it to Nationals both years and I got
an offer to play at Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio. I had
never lived in snow, so I thought it would be an experience. It
was definitely a cold experience and I am so thankful God created
a place like Arizona. The Lord blessed me with a great education
and many hours in the gym. My passion is teaching and coaching, so I have been honored to do both here at SCA for five years. Go Eagles!
I
would be leaving out a huge part of my life, if I did not talk
about my family. My dad is an Associate Pastor at Calvary Community
Church, and my mom is the Director of Training and Discipleship at VCL International. I could not have
asked for more supportive, encouraging, and Godly examples for
parents. I have one older brother who was a missionary in Miskolc,
Hungary for three years. He now is the Youth Pastor at CCC. He
is married to an amazing girl and they have three boys and a little princess. Family is a huge part
of my life, so I encourage any family or friends to come in to the
computer lab. My door is always open!

In His Grip ,
