Hi! I am Mrs. Smith and I am so excited to be starting my 2nd year teaching 2nd grade here at SCA! It is a blessing to be able to teach at a Christian school and to be able to pray with my students and to teach God’s word!

I was here at SCA six years ago, student teaching with the marvelous, Sue Gould in 2nd grade. God then gave me an opportunity to teach Kindergarten at another Christian school. I was there for 4 years before God called me back to SCA! All in God’s timing!

I am married to a wonderful man named Chris. We will be celebrating our 2nd year of marriage in November! I love being married! . Chris works at a company called The Hartford. We have 2 puppies, Reagan, 3 year old, black lab and Lily, 2 year old ,golden lab. We have so much fun playing with them and they surely keep us busy! We are also very excited about expecting a baby girl in March! We like to spend time going to the movies and I like to spend my free time scrap booking and doing crafts!

2nd grade has always had such a special spot in my heart. It was 2nd grade for me, where I learned to read, I decided I wanted to be a teacher, and I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I grew up in a Christian home and also attended Christian school all the way through college. God has taught me so much through my walk especially through children. I am so excited to see what he teaches me this year.

I look forward to a wonderful year and am so excited to meet my students and their families. I pray that my students will not only leave my class with more knowledge but also more understanding of how much God loves them!
