Hello! My name is Dixie Reed and I am enjoying teaching music to
the elementary students here at SCA! We will be discovering different music styles and learning music theory through a variety of learning activities. "Music Basketball", "Music Jeopardy", and "Sweet Sounds" (for those chocolate lovers) are some of my favorite ways to learn music! ! We will also learn that music is a gift from God and will share that gift with our families in special chapels, Christmas and Spring performances.

I was born and raised in Quincy, Illinois. I received my Bachelors
degree from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan in the
field of Speech/Drama and Music. I have personally been involved in
church music ministry for over twenty years. I spent thirteen years directing the elementary music program at Paradise Mountain Christian Academy. This will be my sixth year teaching here at SCA.  Along with teaching music classes, I especially enjoy writing and directing the Christmas and Spring musical dramas. I love music and am so excited to pass along that love of music to the children.

I have two awesome children, Tara and T.J.  Tara is a Senior at Southwestern Bible College and T.J. is a Freshman at ASU..  My husband, Tim, teaches at Southwestern Bible College and speaks at youth camps and conferences across the country. Jesus is the reason for our song! We cannot help but SING!
