1ST GRADE CHRISTMAS MUSICAL
December 19th & 20th, 2007

“Candy Cane Lane”
The 1st grade students will be presenting a Christmas musical production, “Candy Cane Lane” on Wednesday, December 19th and Thursday, December 20th, 2007. The children have already begun learning their songs and are so excited!
All children have been given a part, whether it is a speaking part, holding a prop, singing a duet or trio, dancing, etc. I tried to give the students a choice in what they would like to be according to the roles their class was involved in. All students are part of the choir and will get to sing all of the songs. The four first grade classes will be combined into a 77 person choir so the sound is wonderful!!
As you have noticed, there are two dates for the production. This is so we can fit all of the parents, grandparents, and family members in our new Fine Arts Theater. Although the children will perform both nights, Wednesday night’s performance will be for the families in Mrs. Friend and Mrs. Gudhus’ classes. Thursday night’s performance will be for the families in Mrs. Gould and Mrs. Goss’ classes. If there is a conflict on your scheduled night, please let me know.
As with all musical productions, we have many opportunities for parent volunteers. I would encourage you to be a part of your child’s experience in any way you can. Please turn in the attached sheet to your classroom teacher and someone will notify you as to how you can help. Also, all information sent home will also be on my website for your convenience.
It is a joy to work with your children – they are so enthusiastic and precious. We are having a ball!
Sing-cerely,
Dixie Reed
