“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23
Mrs. McCarthy's Biography

Hello!  My name is Tami McCarthy, and I am the Resource Center Coordinator at Scottsdale Christian Academy.  As the Resource Center Coordinator I have a dual role; I am the head librarian and I oversee the many functions of the library and I am also the library special subject teacher.  As the library special subject teacher I teach classes for kindergarten through 6th grade.  These classes cover a variety of topics, from library skills to research skills to author studies.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University and worked for several years coordinating special programs at the Center for the Blind in Phoenix.  After having children I stayed at home full time until the fall of 2002, when I began working at SCA in the library.  I received my teaching certificate in May 2004 and have been the Resource Center Coordinator since that time.

I am married and have three children.  My daughter graduated from SCA in 2006, and my two sons still attend the Academy.  I LOVE to teach and watch children learn and fall in love with good books, and I am very grateful that God has led me to this school and your students.
