Timeline: 1. 1788-Sacagawea was born 2. 1800-Sacagawea's Lemhi Shoshone camp is attacked by Hidasta warriors. Sacagwea is taken captive. 3 .April 1805-Sacagawea begins her journey with the Lewis and Clark Expedition. 4 .December 1805-Sacagawea and the Lewis and Clark Expedition reach the Oregon Coast and build Fort Clatsop. 5. December 1812-sacagawea dies at fort Manuel in present day South Dakota. |

Character Quality Traits/Anecdotes 1. Brave-Brother fell in river and she saved him 2. Self-sacrificing-When she could have escaped she stayed behind with her friend. 3. Loyal-She told lewis and Clark about her tribe sneaking away when they were going to buy horses from them. 4.Sneaky-She rode the horses at night when she wasn't really supposed to. 5.Caring-She ran a long way back to bring her grandma berries so she wouldn't starve. |
Accomplishments 1.She helped Lewis and Clark find a route to the Pacific Ocean. 2.She translated words to other Indians so they would be able to trade. 3.By being with the men, Indian tribes would know that they were not a war party and did not attack. 4.She rescued their compass from sinking so they wouldn't get lost. 5. She saved Lewis and Cark's journals and documents from being destroyed in the river. |
