Character Quality Traits/Anecdotes: 1.Courageous-Meriwether at the age of 8 took the leadership in guarding his family and others under attack by unfriendly Indians 2.Patriotic-For his country he went on a expedition with Clark to discover the unexplored west. 3.Intelligent-He was educated by ministers as a scientist and appointed to assist the President of the United states. 4.Eloqent-As a speaker he was clear thinking and helpful to the President.
