Timeline

1.1774- born in Albmarle Country, Virginia, August 18.

2.1779- His father died when he was five.

3. 1782-He got his first rifle when he was seven

4.1804-began journey with clark

5. 1809- died tragically October 11

Character Quality Traits/Anecdotes:

1.Courageous-Meriwether at the age of 8 took the leadership in guarding his family and others under attack by unfriendly Indians

2.Patriotic-For his country he went on a expedition with Clark to discover the unexplored west.

3.Intelligent-He was educated by ministers as a scientist and appointed to assist the President of the United states.

4.Eloqent-As a speaker he was clear thinking and helpful to the President.

1. He finished his journey to the Pacific Ocean

2. He became a secretary for the President.

3 He became the governor of Louisiana territory

4.he became a scientist and used the stars as a map.

 

5. He became a soldier for the army
