3. 1921- Eric won 2nd in his 1st real race. Every race after that he won 1st.

4. 1923- He won the Olympic tryouts.

5. Friday, July 11 - He won the Olympic 400 meter in a new world record of 47.6 seconds.

6. 1925- He left to be a missionary to North China.

7. 1934- He married Florence McKenzie.

8. 1943- Sent to internment camp because of Word War 2.

9. 1945- Eric died in the internment camp.
