Timeline: 1.1913- Rosa was born in Pine Level, Alabama. 2. 1918- Started school at Pine Level School for Coloreds. 3.1933- Rosa received her high school degree. 4. 1944- Tried to vote twice but was denied both times. 5.1955- Started Alabama Bus Boycott. 6. 1977- Raymond Parks died. 7. 1979- Rosa's mother died. 8. 1987- Founded The Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute For Self Development. 9. 1991- Bust of Rosa Parks unveiled. 10. 2004- 91 years old and still alive. |

Character Quality Traits/Anecdotes: 1.Brave- Rosa Parks worked in cotton fields for hours before and after school and on the weekends. 2.Strong at Heart- Her family was very poor but she still went to school and she worked through her difficulties. 3.Courageous- She wouldn't give up her seat to a white man even when she was risking her life for her own freedom. 4.Caring- Rosa parks always took care of her mother even when she had tonsillitis and back problems. 5. Patience- She always had to wait in line for her money and always had to wait to get a line in the cotton fields. |
Accomplishments: 1. Rosa Parks stopped whites being treated like royalty and blacks being treated like slaves. 2. Rosa stood up to the white people and scooted over and sat still. 3.If Rosa's boycott wouldn't have worked how much longer would blacks have been walking. 4. If she wouldn't have set the example of taking care of her mother she would have died a lot sooner. 5. Rosa got her high school degree even when she had to drop out twice to take care of her mother and grandmother. |
