Dear Families,

Hi! My name is Rene’ Fillingame and I consider it a privilege to be teaching the preschoolers at Scottsdale Christian Academy. I became a christian at 13 and love Jesus and His Word. I have a B.S. in Education and a M.S. in Speech/Language Pathology from the University of North Texas. I was on the staff of the Family Life Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, have taught kindergarten, and have home schooled three of my four children from kindergarten through 7th grade. I love children and I love teaching, especially teaching the Word of God to little ones. It is an awesome responsibility and a great joy to be planting the seeds of truth into the soil of their hearts.

I have been married 24 years to a wonderful man named James. He is the lead pastor of Stone Creek Church where we’ve been for the past 12 years. We have four wonderful children: Matt and Hannah are college students, Bethany will be a junior at SCA, and this fall my youngest son, Sam, will be entering 7th grade at SCA. The biggest news is that Matt will be getting married this summer and so I will have a new daughter named Laurie. I am thrilled! When I’m not working or doing ministry with my husband, I like to be at home, hanging out with my family. I enjoy playing games, watching old movies, camping, hiking, reading, and especially riding our motorcycle with my husband.
