Hi! I’m Michael Fay and this will be my third year of teaching full time. Although this will be my third year of teaching at SCA, I attended this wonderful school from K-4 all the way through my graduation in 2001. The Lord has definitely blessed me and taught me many things at this place and I am now excited to be a part of what He is doing here on this campus.
I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was six years old. I grew up in a Christian home where going to church was just what we did. However, it wasn’t until my freshman year at Point Loma Nazarene University, when God took hold of my life. It was there that I truly committed my life to ministry and the work of God’s kingdom. It is my desire to live fully in Him, “letting my light shine before others”, in order that those around me, especially my students, may see God in how I live my life.
In my spare time I love to watch movies, play basketball and golf, play guitar, watch every Phoenix Suns game, and most importantly, spend time with my beautiful wife.
God has blessed me with the beginning of an amazing family. My wife Christy and I got married on June 3rd, 2005. We actually met as seventh graders at SCA, and then started dating our senior year of high school. Christy is the Family Life pastor at our church, McDowell Mountain Community Church. She is an amazing woman of God, and I can only hope to serve God like she serves. On December 7, 2007, God blessed us with a wonderful baby boy named Oliver Moses. I think he is perfect! We also have a very small, hairy member in our family. Her name is Norma and she is a Puggle (Pug and Beagle Mix). She is the cutest dog anyone has ever seen.
We have been so blessed to be a part of SCA for so many years. It is my joy to be a part of this school as a teacher and to allow God to use me to be a blessing to the students, as teachers like Mrs. Hartmann were a blessing to me. This year will be an amazing year!
