Where does the name "Sixth Day come from? |
In the Genesis account of creation, the sixth day was when God created man. He created man in own His image, showing them the universe that He had created for them. On the sixth day, God created our greatest grandparents! He created man for one purpose–to glorify Him and praise His name. Now, thousands of years later, our mission in life has not changed. God still wants us to be glorifying Him and praising His name. One of the ways we can do that is by singing praises to God. Every Thursday, we get the chance to get together as a family of Christians and praise God. By worshipping, we are fulfilling God's ultimate purpose for our lives! And, of course, it is a neat coincidence that our praise team is made up of sixth graders! Any way you slice it, it is a groovin' name! |
