Hello! My name is Andrea Boyles and I am thrilled to be working at SCA again this year! A little information about me: I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, but raised from the time I was six months old in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado. I have a wonderful family that consists of two sisters (Cori and Kaylen), a nephew (Brayden), a brother-in-law (Matthew), and my mom and dad (Laurie and Tom)! I am also married to my best friend, Aaron, whom I grew up with at my church in Colorado. I graduated in May 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and had the privilege of student teaching sixth grade all year at my old middle school. I have an absolute passion for every part of the English language, and I cannot wait to help my students learn about writing, grammar, reading, and spelling this year!

In Colorado Springs, I grew up at First Presbyterian Church, and became especially close with its wonderful congregation. I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior when I attended an elementary overnight camp with my church youth group, and have been serving Him with my whole heart ever since. God is the center of all of my hobbies and activities during my everyday life. I absolutely love discovering God’s beauty while hiking the Colorado Fourteeners or camping in a secluded forest. I have also found a passion for running races, although after three ACL repairs, and another upcoming surgery, I do not think I will be able to handle a marathon anytime soon!

I am excited to be able to teach God's gift of the English language to a great group of sixth graders!
