Summer 2008

Bible Challenge

Former students from 5-R are being challenged to take the "Bible Challenge" this summer! First, your job will be to read and mark all 6-chapters of the book of Ephesians. Next, you will be expected to memorize either Ephesians chapter 1 or chapter 5. If you memorize BOTH chapters--your reward will be even greater. If you have read and marked (carefully and thoroughly) all 6 chapters and memorized at least one of these chapters, you will be invited to a celebration pizza party at the beginning of the year. More news will follow about other potential rewards if you memorize BOTH chapters 1 and 5 of Ephesians. **See below, if you are a new incoming 5th grade student for YOUR CHALLENGE!

Incoming 5th Grade Students to Room 403

1. You will need 50 heavy duty top load sheet protectors.

2. You will need 2 sets of colored pencils. One is to be kept at your house. The other set is to be kept at school.

3. Please consider getting an NIV Adventure Bible or another NIV Bible that has larger font. We will be reading and marking (with colored pencils) in your Bible as we study this coming year. Please recognize that you will need to have an NIV Bible available at your home when you are doing homework. If you do not want to cart around 2-Bibles and if your parents do not have an NIV to loan you at home--please consider getting a second copy. Jesus Chapel has discounted new Bibles all year long. (Jesus Chapel location is at Roosevelt and Hayden/ McClintock). Another great Bible shopping option is the new Family Christian Bookstore at Raintree and the 101. You may look up this exact location online!

 

The fifth grade students that are exiting 5th grade this year have a Bible Challenge! Will you (a new fifth grade student) take this challenge too?

Please consider memorizing all of chapter 1 or chapter 5 of the book of Ephesians this summer!

Extra credit will be given in Bible if you have memorized verses from either of these chapters.
